Game 1 down! A loss for my Sons of Horus, but a valuable lesson learnt about ensuring you can pull of your charges when they matter. I've included photos of my army at the end. The mission we played was The Heart of the Battle, with a Dawn of War deployment. This mission involves a 3 point objective in the centre of the battlefield, and two 1 point objectives placed by the players. There are also points for; Slay The Warlord (3) Giant Killer (3) Last Man Standing (3) First Strike (3) I chose not to seize, so I went second. Apart from a few Legionaries being picked off by bolters, and my opponent moving towards the centre objective, I got off lightly. I am currently playing in a escalation league for Horus Heresy at my LGS. We are starting at 750 points and adding 250, up to 3000. I already have the army mapped out, and built and painted, minus one Kratos. This spured me on to write a little bit of lore for my Army, which I'm hoping to make into a little zine soon. Enjoy!
